Hailing from towns and cities across Wisconsin and Michigan, the inaugural class of the Great Lakes Boat Building School was welcomed on September 24, 2007 to begin their pursuit of the skills and work ethic being sought in the boat building industry. Taught by master boat builder and teacher Patrick Mahon, this group has spent the past eight weeks learning the basics of hand and power tool use, joinery, lofting, and traditional boat building.
